Our School

I warmly welcome  you to Bursted Wood Primary School. We are a larger than average inclusive primary school in Bexley and our transformation to a three form entry school is almost complete. We moved in to our fantastic, modern new building in September 2018 and all of our original classrooms have undergone a transformation.

At Bursted Wood we pride ourselves on the excellent behaviour and attitudes of our pupils and the broad, rich curriculum that we provide them with as well as high academic standards. Our school motto of 'Care and Respect’ is evident in all aspects of school life and is further underpinned by our additional four key school values of: Honesty, Responsibility, Tolerance and Resilience.

We are incredibly proud of the achievements of all of our pupils and staff. Our most recent awards include: Arts Mark Platinum, The Inclusion Award and Centre of Excellence and School Games Mark Gold.

Ofsted last inspected the school in November 2021.  The full report can be found by clicking on the ‘School Information’ tab.  We are extremely proud to say that Ofsted deemed the school to be “Good”.
